Warehouse Operations Assistant, Surgical Ophthalmology Manufacturer / Distributor, Boldon Colliery

We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Assistant to work in our small warehouse / office / workshop. You will work as part of a team focused on the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of specialist medical products. Main duties will be picking, packing and receiving goods, including dealing with related paperwork and administration. Products are generally small and handpicked but a good general level of fitness is required. You will also be required to provide general warehouse and workshop support as and when required.

Person specification:

Experience in any similar roles would be an advantage but is not essential. Training will be provided where required.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate that you:

  • Are organised and thorough, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Are a quick learner and are willing to develop new skills and show initiative
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude and the drive to get things done within deadlines
  • Work well within a team
  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have good computer skills including Microsoft Office

Experience required:

At least one year of full-time work experience with a single employer is required.

Working Hours

This is a full-time office-based role, working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with 4.30pm finish on Fridays.

Salary

Competitive dependant on experience.
