A school in Gateshead, NE40, are looking to recruit a full-time HLTA to join them in September 2023.

About the role

The role will involve working with the classes across EYFS and KS1, where some pupils have SEND and/or lower attainment. Some duties for the role will include leading some intervention groups across the key stage both on a small group and 1:1 basis, covering sessions for class teachers where needed, and providing general support to the classes within EYFS and KS1. Some experience of working within the KS1 setting is desirable for areas such as Phonics and Early Maths. This role is also suitable for ECTs, and would be a great way to gain experience across a range of year groups. Days and hours would be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) (Full-time) you will:

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • L4 Supporting Teaching and Learning
