Email Marketing Executive


 

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and talented Email Marketing Professional to join the Digital Team in a highly successful business that is prominent in its field in the UK. This is a maternity cover for 12 months. As Email Marketing Executive your role is to support the planning, execution of email campaigns and implement test and learn plans for optimising campaign performance and improving customer KPIs. The role will focus on email communications - briefing, campaign setup, audience selection, proofing and campaign performance reporting using pre-existing templates. You will also be required to collaborate with colleagues across other departments for campaign and project executions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver best-in-class email campaigns that support online trading and improve key customer metrics and revenue

  • Co-ordinate with the Design and Category Team to brief, build, proof, test, QA and send campaigns based on campaign plans
  • Use segmentation techniques within the email platform to select the right audience for email targeting
  • Preparing data offline for certain campaigns and regular customer NPS
  • Champion and implement an A/B testing/optimisation programme.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the execution of emails including, Ecommerce team, designers, marketing, social & PR, and Category team
  • Monitor data hygiene to ensure GDPR compliance at all times
  • Support the implementation of any new automated email programmes
  • Support the implementation of dynamic content
  • Analyse results from email marketing campaigns to improve key performance metrics (engagement rates and sales)
  • Identify & store well performing email content and template and to keep up to date with the latest email best practice and technology.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience in managing successful email programmes is essential
  • Familiarity with DotDigital platform would be advantageous
  • Capability to analyse campaign performance, making A/B testing recommendations to improve customer engagement
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Good copywriting skills and basic HTML knowledge would be useful
  • Strong planning & organisational skills, with an ability to stay calm under pressure to ensure no deadlines are missed
  • Previous experience using Google Analytics, creating bespoke reports is desirable
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and to take individual initiative
  • Ability to manage imagery and basic photo editing would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail - Pro-active and a quick learner
  • Ideally educated to degree level, preferably in a marketing/digital related discipline, but not essential.
